CRMTA Memberships

To apply for membership with the CRMTA, just Download the Application form, fill it out and mail it in! Learn more about the types of memberships we offer here.

Student Membership: FREE

The following are the requirements to become a student member with the CRMTA:

  • Must be enrolled in a Massage Therapy program that offers a minimum of 2200 hours

Note: Student members may only practice within their level of competence and within the scope of practice of their current level of training.

Associate Membership: $332/year

The following are the requirements to become an associate member with the CRMTA:

  • Be enrolled in a Massage Therapy Program with a minimum of 2200 hours.
  • Must have minimum of 1250 hours of education from a recognized Massage Therapy Program.
  • Must provide a certificate for completion of 1250 hours that is recognized by the association.

Note: Associate members may only practice Massage Therapy under supervision and within the scope of practice of their current level of education.

Active Membership: $332/year

The following are the requirements to become an active member with the CRMTA:

  • Must have successfully completed a minimum of 2200 hours with a recognized Massage Therapy Program.
  • Must provide a certificate of successful completion of 2200 hours with a recognized Massage Therapy School to a representative of the CRMTA.

Inactive Membership: $75/year

Any individual who is, or was, or is entitled to be, registered as an active member is eligible to be an inactive member in any membership year where they will not be providing Massage Therapy services to members of the public.

Affiliate Membership: $50/year

To become an affiliate member of the Association, the person will have an interest in the profession of Massage Therapy but need not be a Massage Therapist or enrolled in a Massage Therapy program. Any Canadian citizen over 18 years of age can apply for affiliate membership. The Board shall decide in their sole discretion whether or not to accept an individual as an affiliate member.
