Soft Tissue Release is a very effective technique tohelp people in pain. It involves client movement to enhance the effectiveness of the work. There are many variations to the type of movement that is used with Soft Tissue Release. We can work with muscles while stretching them, either actively or passively. We also can work with muscles while the client contracts the muscle, with either concentric or eccentric contraction. We will explore these variations and the rationale for using them.
